Certified in CPR!
I am certified as an American Heart Association Health Care Provider of CPR. Below is a table of ratios for adults, children, and infants.
Adult CPR Procedure
Before beginning adult CPR, ensure that the scene is safe. Next, check the victim for responsiveness, and check for a pulse. When performing CPR on an adult, the standard ratio of compressions to breaths is 30:2 if alone. There should be 100 compressions per minute.
Infant/Child CPR Procedure
When performind infant and child CPR, the rate of compressions to breaths should still be 30:2. Before starting CPR, check to see if the scene is safe. It is important to be especially careful when performing CPR on an infant or child.
